As you can see in one of those troll threads, there is a guy who have refunded the game and plays now a pirated version instead. I just thought it might be a bug and needs to be reported. That doesn't happen so often though, so its not a big of a deal for me. That means, if you all of a sudden lose connection, you cannot boot steam into offline mode and so you cannot play most of the games.
